About Me
Hi, I’m Selena.
I’m a runner, a mom, a business owner, and I work full time — which means most days are full before they even start. Running is the space I come back to when life feels loud, busy, or overwhelming.
My relationship with running has changed over the years. Sometimes it’s been about training and race days. Other times, it’s simply been about moving my body, clearing my head, and finding a little time that’s just mine. Right now, it’s about consistency and learning to show up even when the plan doesn’t go perfectly.
Over the years, I’ve completed 29 marathons, one ultramarathon (50 miles), and one Half Ironman. Those experiences taught me a lot — not just about endurance, but about patience, resilience, and how much progress comes from showing up again and again, even when things don’t go as planned.
I’m currently training for the Med City Marathon, fitting runs around work, family, and everything else that fills my days. Some runs are strong, some are slow, and some turn into walks. All of it counts, because it keeps me connected to the habit and to myself.
This blog is where I share honest reflections from training and from life — the adjustments, the lessons, and the reminders that progress doesn’t have to look perfect to matter. It’s a space for anyone trying to stay consistent in a busy season, whether that’s running, movement, or something else entirely.
Beyond 26.2 is about running — and everything that happens around it.
If you’re here, I’m glad you found your way here.
